The Local Area

Situated in the "Périgord Vert" region of the northern Dordogne, Les Chênes  is close to the borders of the Haute-Vienne and the Charente. Although tucked away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, we are only an hour away from each of the capital towns in these three départements - Périgueux in the Dordogne, Limoges in the Haute-Vienne and Angoulême in the Charente. The hilltop town of Nontron is less than 30 minutes away and the picturesque town of Brantôme is under an hour away.
